What can we do
from this small town?
Population decline is a serious challenge in Akita. Faced with that reality, we began asking what we, as a sewing company in Mitane, could do for the place we call home.
LENTO begins with getting to know what is here and using it with care. Each garment carries a new story of this community—a piece with a character all its own.

Akita cedar yields a soft pink when its color is brought into fabric—a new expression of a tree deeply connected to Akita.

Sweet, juicy melons are another of Mitane’s gifts. Their gentle cream color brings a little of the local harvest into everyday clothing.
